Breanna + Caleb – Engagement

Once upon a time there was a beautiful blonde princess…. I know what you’re thinking and no its not me!  Her name is Breanna and her prince charming’s name is Caleb.  I had the honor of capturing a milestone in their relationship that we will all remember.  After having long discussions with Breanna’s mom and fibbing to the bride-to-be, our elaborate plan for a surprise engagement shoot unfolded flawlessly.  Caleb and Breanna “dated” in the fifth grade and they later met up in 2014 at Pawley’s Island and have been inseparable for almost three years. Caleb popped the question when we did a “practice” session at Memorial Gardens.  Breanna was not expecting the proposal but her astonishment brought the shoot to life.  The lovely blooms on location set the joyful mood of the beautiful couple and were complimented by the hand-made flower crown.  I know this engagement will be filled with tons of movie dates, adventures with their dog, and ice cream cones.  This fun-loving couple were such a blast to shoot and I cannot wait to see the rest of their fairytale.2017-03-21_0001.jpg2017-03-21_0002.jpg

Drew + Chris (Engagement)

Let me just say “SWOON!” Chris and Drew’s precious story gives hope to all the single ladies (and men) waiting to stumble upon love during a night out on the town. Chris asked some friends about Drew after meeting her at a bar, the two hit it off and their cinematic love story only got better. Of course, this perfect engagement shoot was short to follow Chris’ original proposal after he got down on one knee and she said YES at the annual 2016 Salisbury Christmas parade surrounded by family and friends. He creatively caught Drew’s eye, surprising her with the big question as it passed by on a personalized float asking her to marry him. From lazy nights at home to sitting on patios at the local breweries, Chris and Drew are the epitome of a genuine small-town love story. I’m so glad I was able to capture sweet moments between them at the best spots in town that they can cherish for the rest of their lives together. From beautiful lighting in Hurley Park to fun shots in Lost and Found, the session was jam-packed with unforgettable moments. Enjoy a sneak peek of Chris and Drew’s engagement session that could easily be wrapped up in the lyrics of small-town romance, country song.

Suzanne had the most fabulous taste in her dress, shoes, jewels and flowers!  Paul and Suzanne are perfect together, I love the image of them laughing during the ceremony!  We went directly to the reception at the Old North State Country Club where I had the best filet ever served at a Wedding.  This small Wedding was perfect in every way.   Enjoy some of my favorite images!

Ashleigh + John [Mt Pleasant, SC Wedding]

Last April, I helped Sara shoot this Oh-So-Colorful Wedding at The Lighthouse on the Creek [Mt Pleasant, SC]. Almost every minute of the day everyone was grinning from ear to ear. We loved the color pallette!  Driving around the Mt Pleasant area, I spied “Mike’s Bike’s” and decided we had to get the girls in front of that building.  The florals were just gorgeous with their dresses.

It was such a fun + loving day!! Thank you for allowing me to assist you, Sara Logan Photography!!

Snow Shoot

2015-03-05_00132015-03-05_00092015-03-05_00122015-03-05_00102015-03-05_00152015-03-05_00142015-03-05_00112015-03-05_0016 2015-03-05_0017

The day before our “big snow storm” I contacted my friend, Drew Myers–the owner of AnnaCraig Boutique on Innes St. in Salisbury. We had tossed around the idea of a styled shoot featuring her clothing and we thought that the snow would make for a great background! We spent hours in the boutique picking out coordinating outfits and I rounded up 3 beautiful models. My daughter’s (the short haired blonde) long time [VERY talented] friend Greyson Harvey did hair and make up as well as modeling. Audrey [dark hair] is our foreign exchange student from Germany!

We just laughed and had a fun day playing dress up!!

Across the Pond Bed and Breakfast

A couple times a month I would drive by this beautiful home on Fulton Street in Salisbury. From the stoplight, I noticed a bright natural lit sunroom on one side and a little wrought iron fenced area on the other. Of course, my wheels started turning and I wondered when I could get by to check it out. Well, the opportunity came in January as I was looking for an indoor option for a shoot I was planning.
The owners, Mary and Andrew Walker hail from England and are simply delightful! They have moved from Pittsburg, PA and opened a Bed and Breakfast here in North Carolina in 2014! The 4700 sq ft home is around 95 years old. It is decorated with a fresh, contemporary feel.
This is the perfect place for out of town guest especially for Weddings and Graduations! Each room has it’s own name and prices include a full English breakfast as well as an evening reception with beverages and nibbles.
Head over to their Facebook page (Across The Pond Bed and Breakfast), or website www.acrossthepondbandb.com to check out some more photo’s!! I think you will be as impressed as I was!!

Victoria [senior]

We met this awesome family playing softball. Victoria joined Kennedy’s team as a pitcher, I can’t even remember what age they were playing!! Our families became fast friends and we have kept in touch even though neither girl is still playing softball!! Victoria will go to Catawba College in the fall to golf! So proud of her. She put this whole shoot together using things that were meaningful to her. I loved it!

Iliana [Senior]

Spring is in full gear here at ALP!  I have three Seniors, two Bridal’s and a Newborn Session on my list of things to do!

Meet Iliana!  She played soccer with Kennedy at CSA two years ago-so I was thrilled when her mom contacted me about a Senior Session.  Iliana is so excited to attend Washington University in the fall.  We had a great time catching up as we wandered around Davidson scouting locations!
